Born in Atlanta, Charlie has lived all but eleven years in the metro Atlanta area. He was the owner of the Gun corral, Inc. in Decatur for 20 years. Charlie has been involved with motorcycles for over forty-five years. During this time he has participated in many clubs and organizations. As president of the Georgia Cracker M/C club in 1971 and 1972, they hosted and laid out the 100 mile national Enduro in Dalton, GA. He was the Captain in the 1977 and 1978 if the big motor unit of the Yaarab Shrine Temple Motor Corp. and Competition Drill Team. He is a Charter member and still active in the Patentates escort unit. Charlie is a life member of the American Motorcycle Associates and a member of the Crossties Chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist Association. He is a life member of the Harley Owners Group and a former director of the Daytona Beach HOG Chapter for the years of 1994, 95 and 96. Charlie in active in many charity's which includes now serving on the recruitment committee for the "ride for healthier Babies" for the March of Dimes and also the "Ride to Live" for the American Diabetes Association. Charlie brought his first new Harley-Davidson in November 1976 form Harley of Atlanta . A 1977, the first limited edition classic in a new vivid brown color combination. Which he rode until 1996, then sold it to buy his present 1996 FLHT in vivid black. He says if it will also last for twenty years be will be a happy camper. Charlie was previously employed at the Daytona Harley-Davidson as customer relations manager and now with Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson in the same job capacity.
